  3. I’m happy to hear this. I love that Jesus commissioned a woman as the first gospel preacher! Its very interesting to me that in most churches today, women are speaking in one way or another ( “for where two or three [men or women] are gathered together in my name, there am I in their midst.”) Women are permitted to teach Bible studies, Sunday school classes, sing in the choir or worship teams…often singing special solos. I attended a church for 20 years and another for 17 years that never prohibited the women from speaking and even sharing their experiences and light from the Word. So, if the interpretation of what Paul said in this passage of scripture is correct, then why don’t we practice what he said? I say it’s because in our hearts we know it’s wrong and isn’t a “fit.” And, what if you are single? Who will teach you at home? (Good thing we have the internet!!) The poor single girls wouldn’t stand a chance of understanding the Word. It’s a fantastic thing, too, that we can express ourselves through social media. Let’s all join that band wagon and “speak” whatever God has layed on our hearts!!
