  1. I really like this footnote you cite from page 60 of A Woman of Chayil :

    Many believe that when the Bible refers to woman helping man, it means she is an inferior being given to him to help him with domestic affairs such as cooking, cleaning, washing clothes, etc. The Hebrew word for “help,” however, is the word that is used to refer to God as our help. Such help is not that of an inferior. Furthermore, there were no such domestic duties in Eden. There was no cooking because food hung on the trees ready to eat. There were no clothes to wash because they didn’t wear clothes. There was no filth to clean because they were in the paradise of God.
